For this project, we were tasked with creating a two-sided postcard that encapsulated our favorite place. It could be a specific place or a more broad idea. The postcard also had to be accurate and functional meaning that there needed to be a spot for the stamp, address, and ample space for someone to write on the back.

Role: Designer

Programs: Adobe Illustrator

Initial Thoughts.

I have never had one specific favorite place. It has always been more of a broad idea of being in the outdoors surrounded by the sound of a nearby stream, the smell of a campfire, or the smell of the musty tent that has been in the family for years. This is what I chose to convey in my postcard

Result & Growth.

This was a fast turnaround project for me however, I did learn a lot from it. In a short amount of time, I was able to come up with an idea and see it to fruition. I got more comfortable with tools that I had not used much before and ended up with a product I was proud of.
